Nominations will be open to the floor at the community meeting on Saturday, September 26.
The election will be held at the community meeting on Saturday, October 24.

2027-2029 LRCBC Board Nominees

President

Zerlinda Lochtie

  • I would love the opportunity to become more involved in the Lake Roesiger community and contribute to a place that has become such an important part of my life. I believe strong communities are built by people who are willing to participate, listen, collaborate, and give their time.

    I’m excited about the opportunity to help the Boat Club continue to be a welcoming, fun, and connected organization for members, families, and neighbors. Most importantly, I genuinely love this community and would like to play a role in helping preserve what makes it special while supporting its continued growth.

  • I have owned and operated a bridal shop on Main Street in downtown Snohomish for more than 20 years. As a longtime small-business owner, I bring experience in leadership, organization, communication, budgeting, customer service, marketing, event planning, problem-solving, and relationship building. I have spent my career working with customers, employees, vendors, fellow business owners, and community organizations, which has taught me how to work effectively with many different personalities and perspectives.

    I have also served on multiple boards and committees within the business and bridal industry community. I understand the importance of listening, collaborating, following through on commitments, and making decisions that serve the larger community rather than just one individual. I would bring a positive, practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to jump in wherever I can be most helpful.

  • I have owned my home in the Lake Roesiger community for six years.

  • Yes, Lake Roesiger is my primary residence and home year-round.

  • I love the sense of community and connection that comes with living at Lake Roesiger. After spending many years living and working in the Snohomish County area, moving to the lake gave me the opportunity to enjoy a little more space, nature, and time outdoors while still feeling connected to the community around me.

    Boating and spending time on the water have become some of my favorite parts of living here. I especially appreciate that Lake Roesiger is more than just a beautiful place to live — it is a community of neighbors and families who share an appreciation for the lake and the lifestyle that comes with it. I want to help protect that sense of community and make sure it continues to be a special place for current residents and future generations.

  • I have not previously served on the Lake Roesiger Community Boat Club Board. Professionally and personally, however, I have served on multiple boards and committees within the business and bridal industry community throughout my career.

    Those experiences have given me an understanding of how effective boards operate, including the importance of communication, teamwork, accountability, respectful discussion, and working toward shared goals. I would be excited to bring that experience to the Lake Roesiger community and become more actively involved in the place I call home.

1st Vice President

Carson Espinosa

Ashlee Mackey

  • To build a stronger, more connected, and better-informed lake community. Helping our community to know neighbors around the entire lake, improving communication, and encouraging greater participation in existing events and expanding events.

  • I have served as a committee chair with the Everett Parks Department, received the PTA Golden Acorn Award from the Everett School District.  I have participated in many improvement teams and committees during my 40-year career in the Medical field.

  • Our family has owned our property since 1925.  We have lived here full time for 9 years.

  • I love the lake life. We have a great neighborhood community; we help and lookout for each other. We get together regularly. I’m grateful that we have a new store owner because that is a great hub for our community.

  • I have not served on the board… yet. I have volunteered for committees but never been called. That is one area I would like to see improvement.

Melanie Kreiger

  • I was called to serve and accepted the nomination. I am organized and fair-minded, and I believe in building a strong community based on respect and care for one another, the lake, and the common good. We need to treat each another with that in mind, using that as our guiding principle when faced with problems that need solving. I am a flexible thinker and believe in evidence-based decision making.

  • I taught high school English for 33 years, so I know a lot about working with people. I strive to be a good communicator and believe in openness and transparency. In the past I’ve volunteered in various roles in the lake community, including board secretary and lake health committee facilitator, and have been regularly attending club meetings since we first bought property in 2009.

  • Seventeen years. We bought property in April of 2009. That summer the temps reached over 100 degrees and the lake reached 86. We buckled up our lifejackets, turned them upside down, and floated in them. I kept saying, “Owning a lake house is everything I’d ever hoped it would be.” That has remained true. We are all so lucky to be here.

  • We moved here full time in 2018.

  • We have a solid core of people and families who show love through the way they serve the community. We look out for one another. 

    We share the most beautiful backyard imaginable. There’s no place we’d rather be. Wingding ice cream sandwiches delivered to the dock are a nice bonus. :-)

  • From 2018-2020, I served as board secretary (sharing what used to be one secretary/treasurer position with Pam LeCount). I also served as facilitator for the first year or so of the Lake Health committee as we tried various methods to mitigate the lily pads. While serving in these roles, I kept careful records and established an online club folder to house meeting minutes and key documents, like the club’s Articles of Incorporation and by-laws, to preserve our history and to make leadership transitions smoother after board elections.

Treasurer

Therese Evans

  • The reason I wanted to join the Lake Roesiger Community and Boat Club board was a chance to participate in my community and to better get to know my neighbors.

  • I bring with me basic office skills, organization and diligence needed to act as treasurer. As a board member, I try to listen and evaluate issues considering the community's concerns.

  • We moved here 48 years ago, and our kids grew up here. I taught the local kids at Machias getting to know their families along the way.

  • This is my main residence.

  • What I love about the community is the way so many can actively enjoy this area, whether they are riding jet skis, towing grandkids in inflatables, kayaking or swimming. I can watch the fisherfolk and the pedal boats with the foothills in the background. Birders and nature lovers of all kinds fit in here. And they all have a voice.

  • I have served the last term as secretary and would be honored to do so again. 

  • My sense is that with turnover of some key members, who have done a great job, the Board is in need of steady leadership that will hold fast to prioritizing the health and safety of the lake. We have a wonderful treasure in Lake Roesiger and it’s up to us who are members of the Association to make sure that remains the priority. I represent a moderate approach to all that we have to consider and with the urging of folks I respect, I am willing to take this on if elected.

  • I have extensive leadership experience. Professionally I served as Chief Operating Officer of The Everett Clinic (now Optum) for 26 years. In 2015, we moved to Vancouver, WA where I became Chief Executive Officer of Vancouver Clinic, now a 600 clinician multi-specialty medical practice. Leadership skills I have from that experience are negotiation, advocacy, listening, and finding common ground on controversial matters. I also have an undergrad degree in accounting in addition to a Masters in Public Health and Healthcare Administration. I have also served in a number of community service leadership positions including professional associations, our church, the American Heart Association, and a treasured community in the Lake Chelan wilderness called Holden Village.

  • Our family’s experience with Lake Roesiger began in 2009 when we bought a cabin on Tulloch Road. We used that for vacation and family events. In 2023, we were able to sell that and move about 15 homes up the road to a larger home where we are now full-time residents at the Lake. I have always been active in the Association.

  • Since retiring in 2025, Lake Roesiger is our full-time residence, and we are so happy that is the case!

  • Well, where to begin? First, I love that memories are made here for families. We now have two grandchildren, and it is so fun to introduce them to the lake, the wildlife, recreation, and the importance of conservation. Second, I love my neighbors and the community we have built. Last year, we helped host a progressive dinner on New Year’s Eve and it was a blast. While we will spend part of the winter in Montana where we like to ski, I do enjoy the quiet winter months here. Third, there is no place better to be in our summer months! The cleanest lake in Snohomish County, swimming and boating out my back door, unbelievable sunsets, and at times pretty good fishing all make this a blessing.

  • As alluded to before, I have extensive Board experience both professionally and in a volunteer capacity. In my lifetime, I think I have served on over 15 different boards so I know what it’s like to collectively find consensus and a solid direction. Most recently, I served on the Surfboat committee that was formed by the Association and is currently having its recommendations reviewed by the membership.

Secretary

Lisa Terry

  • I appreciate the small community that we share here at the lake. Being a part of helping the community is important to me.

  • I have working in communications for over two decades. As the secretary, I use my skills to keep the community informed by email, snail mail, or whatever is needed.

  • Our family has lived on the NW corner of the lake for just over four years.

  • Yes - this is our main residence.

  • Our community knows how to have fun and at the same time, takes care of each other when times are hard. The combination of people who have lived here for decades and those with only a year or so under their belts makes for a great group of folks. It’s great to get to know more people every year.

  • I have served as Secretary for the past two terms and would be honored to do so again. 

  • I want to serve on the board as VP2 to help preserve our lake, protect our rights to it, keep the community together, and promote Lake Roesiger. This place is a hidden gem—not just the physical location, but the community that lives here. I’ve grown up out here and now live here myself. I’m building my family on this lake and want to keep it thriving for generations to come, just as I’ve enjoyed it.

    I want to protect, promote, and support all recreational activities and water sports. My goal is to make Lake Roesiger more inviting and inclusive for everyone who wants to enjoy it.

  • The skills I bring are organization, problem-solving, and leadership. In my career I’ve managed parts of multi-million-dollar construction projects, as well as sales, marketing, and service roles. I’ve also been involved with the WA State INT League (a wakeboarding and waterskiing league) and served as Vice President of the Wakeboarding Team at Central Washington University, where I was part of the 2013 National Championship team. I’ve been active in the water sports industry for nearly two decades, so I’m very familiar with boating, water sports, and safety practices across all of them.

  • I’ve owned property on the lake since October 2019. My family has had a place here since 2014, and I’ve lived within a mile of the lake since 2001.

  • What I love most about this community is the warmth. Most neighbors are welcoming, helpful, and supportive. It’s great to have people you can count on when needed, and it’s rewarding to see how well everyone communicates and gets along. I want to help build on that foundation. I’ve already served on a committee that rewrote the bylaws and worked on lake safety and buoy placement.

  • In short, I want to keep the lake accessible for everyone to enjoy and create more opportunities that bring the community together. I believe we have a real chance to host community events and socials that reduce division and help us become an even closer-knit group.

2nd Vice President

Cory Johnson

  • I’m running for Vice President I to listen, learn more about how the club operates, meet more neighbors, strengthen friendships around our lake, and help support the community’s future. I value integrity, family, mutual respect, accountability; and, most importantly, fun. I want members to feel informed, included, and comfortable sharing their ideas and concerns, whether directly or through a trusted proxy.

  • I bring more than a decade of leadership experience in roles requiring due diligence, fact-finding, attention to detail, crisis and incident management, and consideration of different perspectives. I’m comfortable translating complicated subjects into clear, balanced information and helping groups work through challenging issues.

    I also bring strong technical experience that could help improve the club’s processes, website, and community-outreach channels.

    I served in the Air Force, traveling throughout the country while working mostly in front of a computer. Yes, I’m a nerd at heart. During those years, the communities around me became my extended family and taught me the importance of belonging, friendship, and mutual respect.

  • My wife, Allie, and I have owned our home for just over one year.

  • Yes. Lake Roesiger is our family’s full-time, year-round home. We live here with our toddler and our dog and hope to raise our family in this peaceful, close-knit community.

  • We visited Lake Roesiger once and immediately knew it was where we wanted to put down roots. We love the peaceful setting, natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and sense of community; not to mention the fun on the water. Our family enjoys fishing, boating, paddleboarding, exploring the outdoors, and having good conversations with neighbors.

    If you travel along the boat-ramp road, there’s a good chance you’ve passed us strolling back and forth, back and forth, as a family. If you’re not in a rush, don’t hesitate to stop and strike up a conversation.

  • I have not previously served on the club’s board or in a formal lake volunteer role. I do try cleaning up the boat launch as we are on our strolls. As a relatively new resident, I’m eager to learn, contribute, and become more involved. I will bring an open ear, an open mind, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping our community thrive.
